More and more cities and regions across the planet choose to go for zero waste. In this episode, you'll learn more about the challenges and solutions of two of those places: Vancouver, Canada and the Noronha, Brazil. Guests are Andrew Marr of Metro Vancouver and Joâo Bernardo Casali of Ionica.

Andrew Marr, Metro Vancouver gives us a better picture of the types of challenges that generally pop-up on a city's zero waste journey. Joâo Bernardo Casali of the B-corp Ionica shares the journey of Noronha, the first Brazilian territory to ban all single-use plastic items - at once.

Learn more about critical actions as cities and regions turn to zero waste: the importance of public-private partnerships (and a textbook example of a successful one!); of gathering key stakeholders under one vision; moving beyond the traditional EPR (extended producer responsibility) and pushing for more far-reaching bans and legislations; as well as the challenges of reaching beyond the low-hanging fruits of waste-diversion and much more.
