Today we finished the draft for The Good Tribe’s first ever storyboard! We are in the midst of developing the pilot for our latest concept, Adventure Education, a series of adventure documentaries about sustainability and the life of professional adventurers.
We want people to fall in love with earth!
The aim of the documentaries is to create awareness about waste and sustainability amongst youth in an adventurous and emotional way. In order for us to shift to a sustainable lifestyle, we need to feel similar emotions and connections to earth as we do towards our mother, father, boyfriend, girlfriend, sister, brother, daughter or son. The documentaries connect the difficulties and struggle that professional adventurers face on their expeditions, with the environmental challenges we face, and the tools we can use to overcome these challenges. With the documentaries, as a visual vehicle we want to inspire people to reconnect with earth in order to promote a sustainable lifestyle.
Every expedition raise awareness about an environmental challenge through the eyes of the adventurers, and the people that they meet on their expedition. The viewers will follow the adventurers’ emotional and physical challenges during the expedition and learn about their personal thoughts, life experiences, and way of living.
Filming in Florianopolis, Brazil
We will film our documentary pilot , a 130 km stand up paddle expedition around the island of Florianopolis. It is a three-day, non-stop journey with two nights drifting on the board. The expedition will take place in the beginning of March.
Presenting the adventurers
The adventurers are Diogo Guerreiro and Flavio Jardim from Destino Azul, they organize expeditions around the world. They hold two Guinness World Records, with the longest windsurfing journey and the longest oceanic windsurfing journey. Their latest expedition was to sail around the world onboard a catamaran.
